Assistant Relationship Manager

Key responsibilities:

Responsible for the execution of the daily activities of the department.
Manage and improve relationship with correspondent banks.
Finding new counterparties for both on asset and liability side of the Bank.
Generate assets in the form syndications, Schuldscheindarlehen (SSD), bilateral loans and other products.
Trade assets in the secondary markets, arrange credit risk insurance for risk mitigation.
Arrange wholesale funding to the bank in line with bank’s strategy.
Coordinate risk mitigating and execution of insurance policies.
Closely follow up and stay updated in the markets DHB Bank is active.
Close follow up of related regulations and financial statement of the Bank.
Assist and execute various FI related projects.
Support other departments for correspondent bank related or other relevant problems.
Close cooperation with other front offices and back offices to have efficient workflow with the Bank.

Requirements:

The suitable candidate’s professional and personal characteristics include:

  • Holding at least Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field;
  • Having a Master degree is plus
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience within banking sector or/and minimum 2 years working experience in Financial Institutions Department
  • Advanced MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential.

Skills and abilities:

  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills are key to succeed.
  • Excellent command of/highly proficient in spoken and written English and Turkish. Knowledge of Dutch/German/French is a plus.
  • Being experienced with reviewing financial reports of banks and corporates is a major component of the team's responsibilities.
  • Being responsible, self-driven, pro-active, result oriented is essential for both personal and professional growth.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Having a flexible mind set is crucial.
  • Ability to work under time pressure whilst retaining strong attention to detail. Ability to multi task and is able to learn fast.
  • Ability to forward thinking and to find solutions to optimize and increase efficiency to bring value to the department and organization.
